Jeremy Loyd

Jeremy Loyd

Creative Director, Sparkbox

When I was little, I told my Mom that black was my favorite color, and that I wanted to be a garbage man when I grew up. There was concern. While the garbage man thing didn’t quite work out, today I happily spend my time making the world – specifically the internet – a more beautiful place. As Creative Director at Sparkbox, I help create responsive websites and applications. I also love to craft identities and product packaging, just for kicks. Over the years I’ve been fortunate to work with clients like Lenovo, Yahoo, GM and Wired Magazine to name a few, and write for publications like NET Magazine and Web Design Tuts Plus.

When I’m not designing websites, black t-shirts or black logos for our workshops, I’m probably hanging with my wife and two boys, playing Mario Kart, taking pics of found typography, playing basketball or working on a fun side project like Branding Bad.

Andy Nick

Andy Nick

Digital Designer, Real Art

From EGA to 4K, 8-bits to 8tb, there’s no resolution too low or pixel density too high. Raised on dos prompts and ANCII-art, Andy acquired a “deep, meaningful appreciation of the pixel” at age 6.

Years of rigorous video game research and a self-education of early web design technique led young Andy to pursue a higher education in the field of theoretical pixel physics. During his studies, he found himself falling deeply in love with traditional graphic design and a battle of medium began.

Nearing graduation, NickAD was introduced to the world of motion graphics and video compositing. This had a profound effect, fusing his love of graphic design and digital development with motion graphic development. Thus, the triforce of Andy’s professional career was born.
